As an uncle and aunt to a very special little girl, we understand the daily struggles a family can go through due to having an autistic child. Despite the sunshine and joy she brings to all of our lives, we would like to raise awareness for daily struggles that parents face alone.

This year I’m going to take part in the Boxing Day Dip to help raise funds for our charity. If anyone is crazy enough to join me (the more the merrier and all that) and help me raise even more funds, please send an email to: andy@autismparentstogether.org

This year I shall be taking part in a virtual John O’Groats to Lands’ End challenge. I shall be travelling the same distance by running, walking, and swimming throughout every week of this year. The total distance is 1407km, which I intend on surpassing. I shall complete my challenge on the 31 December 2022, with hopefully more than 1407km under my belt.

As part of this challenge, I shall also be taking part in different events, such as Total Warrior and I am hoping to do a long swim of 15km+.

As usual I shall be raising money for Autism Parents Together, the money raised will help us to support more and more autistic children and their families in our area.

The Billingham Catholic Club held a garden party to raise money for Autism Parents Together (Tees Valley) and The Russ Devereux Headlight Project.

Yesterday, on behalf of the team from Autism Parents Together, I went along to the Billingham Catholic Club to gratefully accept the funds raised.

The Billingham Catholic Club had this to say about the day….

“Wow, what can we say?!!

What an absolutely cracking afternoon we all had at our Vatican Buskers Garden Party.

A few “thank yous” first – Our Vatican Buskers who put on a great show, gave up their time for free to keep us all entertained, and thanks to Richie who sorted the sound for us.

Huge thanks to our bar staff, they worked their socks off – Chris, Agnes Warnock, Graeme, Sean, Eddy and Ella.

Hope City Rockers you guys were absolutely amazing as always, Cheers for keeping the party going inside 👍🏼

To Whelan and Simon for sorting the BBQ and keep people fed.

Thanks to Caz, Tony H, Christine H, Rachel and Babs for keeping everything going behind the scenes, selling raffles and tombola and never walking around empty handed.

Thank you to all our members and guests who kept us busy all day.

And finally, the biggest thank you goes to Steve Iley, who without his input none of this would happen”

We would like to thank the Billingham Catholic Club and everyone who took part in making the day a huge success which raised a fabulous £804.00 for Autism Parents Together! This money will go directly in to supporting families with autistic children and young people.

On September 11th I’ll be running the Great North Run. This year I would love to raise money for Autism Parents Together.

Rona and Vicki are running the Great North Run for Autism Parents Together because Rona has a son that has autism.
